LEADERSHIP
CMS' executive leadership team is comprised of experienced professionals, each providing deep experience across the Independent Contractor Model.
Dennis Roccaforte
Founder & CEO
Dennis is the backbone of the innovation that drives the development of hi-tech services and solutions at CMS. Utilizing a wealth of professional experience in the transportation, trucking and distribution industries, Dennis founded CMS in 2001 with the goal of creating solutions to the issues that make Independent Contractor Management difficult for the companies that use ICs.
In the 1980s and 1990s, Dennis and his family owned and operated Metro Courier Network, one of the largest courier companies in New England. Dennis established a record of growth at the company and developed relationships in the transportation industry at the client, vendor and industry levels. In 1998, Dennis sold the business and retired. However, he never lost his ability to spot and deal with problems plaguing the business communities he intimately knew.
At the beginning of the decade, Dennis came out of retirement and put his knack for creative solutions to good use. He founded CMS to address the problems that companies in the transportation vertical face when using ICs. During his time in the courier space, Dennis became intimately familiar with the Independent Contractor Model, which made him well aware of the web of political and legal red tape that affects ICs and the companies that use them and that can hinder both in their efforts to remain compliant and profitable.
Since 2001, Dennis has provided leadership and guidance as CMS has become an industry leading provider of IC solutions. Through the use of CMS’ proprietary technology, ICM Power™, the company has given businesses and Independent Contractors a tool to help them remain efficient and profitable while keeping in line with government regulations. Dennis is widely recognized as a leading transportation industry expert on the IC Model. He has written articles published by IC Monitor, Courier Magazine, Courier Times and Messenger Courier Association of America (MCAA), and is considered one of the industry’s leading figures.
In addition to his professional activities, Dennis is also active with many charities and was recently appointed to the American Red Cross Grand Canyon Chapter Board of Directors. With a history of advancement and positive growth that dates back to his days in the courier industry, Dennis is a proven leader with the ability to provide business solutions that make a difference. With CMS, Dennis is continuing to grow that reputation as he fosters the development of technology solutions that promote the growth and integrity of the Independent Contractor Model.
